Throwback weekend is a week away

The Case Athletic Department will be taking a step back in time Feb. 3-5 when it hosts a Throwback Weekend at Adelbert Gymnasium.
Both the Spartan men's and women's basketball teams will be wearing uniforms commemorating Western Reserve University (Red Cats), Case Institute of Technology (Rough Riders), and Mather College.
On Friday, Feb. 3, the Case Lady Spartans will portray the ladies of Mather College when they battle New York University at 6 p.m. After that game, the Case men, playing as the Red Cats of Western Reserve University, will face the New York men's team. Throwback weekend will conclude on Sunday, Feb. 5, with the Case men appearing as the Rough Riders of Case Institute of Technology when they take on the Brandeis Judges at noon. The women will then take the court again wearing the uniforms of Mather College when they battle the Brandeis women at 2 p.m.
Students in attendance will also be able to get in on the action as there will be several prizes awarded throughout the weekend, including ones for "most outrageously retro" and "best Case spirit." There will also be a Wackadoo's Lounge in Adelbert Gymnasium decorated with memorabilia from all three schools. There is a $5 cover charge and free snacks and a cash bar will be available inside.
