Crew Competition

Last week, the crew club competed in the TRRA Indoor rowing championships, which were held in Pittsburgh. Katherine Allen finished first in the open women's race, finishing in a time of 07:13.04. Miranda Cullins finished just a second behind Allen to place second in the event. Jen Mohler, Anna Weiser, and Amanda Durk finished second, third, and fourth, respectively, in the women's open novice race. Top finishers for the men's side included Matt Swasey, who tied for seventh in the men's open novice race. Alan Valenti finished 16th in the men's open race but was only five seconds behind the top 10. This Sunday, the club will host its own event, the Indoor Winter Hammer Competition, at Adelbert Gym. The collegiate portion of the event begins at 11:30 a.m. In addition to Case, teams from Cleveland State, Baldwin-Wallace, and John Carroll will be competing. Case has won the event the past two years.
