Sex & Dating: Feel happy naked

The other day, my roommate commented that the one thing she had always envied about boys was their ability to be perfectly comfortable while stark naked. Most guys have no problem getting out of bed in the buff to grab a drink of water, whereas women tend to grab whatever's handy – sheet, pillow, their man's boxers – to cover up while they dart into the bathroom. This is indicative of a serious problem. If a woman isn't comfortable being naked after sex, chances are she wasn't so happy about being naked during sex. After all, one of the best things about clothing is that we can show what we like and hide what we don't like; that's a little more difficult when there's nothing to cover up with. However, thanks to a little flexibility and an adventurous spirit, there are ways to keep the confidence your clothing gave you – even if it's piled on the floor, hanging from a doorknob, swinging from the ceiling fan…

Part I: Hiding your insecurities

Insecurity: Your freshman 15 went straight to your tummy.

Sex fix: Both doggy style and reverse cowgirl will make you feel like that slight pooch is no longer front and center. One advantage to reverse cowgirl is that you can twist to look back at your partner. Not only is eye contact great, but the twisting will minimize your waist.

Insecurity: Breasts are "too small"

Sex fix: The advantage to having smaller breasts is that they are always perky, never saggy. Have your man lie on his back, and lie down on top of him, face up. Arch your back and plant your feet on the mattress, using your legs to move your hips. While larger breasts would fall to the side, your perky ones will remain in place and totally hot. Make sure to prop your man's head up with a pillow so he can look over your shoulder and see your perfect profile.

Insecurity: Breasts are "too big"

Sex fix: Choose positions where your chest is pressed against your partner's. This will provide support to prevent painful bouncing, and will still be a total turn-on for both of you. For example, have your partner sit upright in a chair or in bed. Straddle him, using your legs for leverage. Avoid backwards positions – not only will you need a sports bra for support, but you're depriving him of the view.

Insecurity: You hate your butt

Sex fix: Obviously, avoid backwards positions. The easiest solution is missionary position, as no part of your butt or hips will be in sight. Or, pick a feature that you like and check out next week's column to find positions to highlight that part of your body.

Next week: If you've got it, flaunt it!
