Even if you didn't love C.S. Lewis' dazzling tales of talking animals, wicked witches, and sword-wielding children when you were a child, they're certainly still worth their weight in film today. Tonight Film Society screens the cinema interpretation of the first in Lewis' Narnia series, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. For those of us who have never fully appreciated the joys of a good Bollywood movie musical, there's Bombay Dreams, a stage version of a classic Bollywood story: boy meets girl, boy loses girl, and everyone dances and sings to a happy ending. Go see Film Society's screening of Paper Clips, the story of how the Holocaust affected a rural community in the American South. In order to grasp the concept of six million Holocaust victims, students collect six million paper clips to better understand the extent of this crime against humanity. The film details how the students met Holocaust survivors and how the experience transformed them and their community. Time: 7 and 9 p.m. Cost: $3 with student ID. Location: Strosacker Auditorium.
