"Con/texts of Invention: A Working Conference of the Society for Critical Exchange." This four-day program began yesterday and features the support and collaboration of many departments at Case as well as other universities such as Harvard. Monday, April 24

7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Symphonic Winds with the Strongsville Community Band in Severance Hall. This is the final performance of the season for the Case Symphonic Winds. They share the stage with the Strongsville Community Band who will be performing in Severance Hall for their second time. Tickets available at the Severance Hall Box Office, 216-231-1111.

Wednesday, April 26

7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Case/University Circle Orchestra and Camerata concert in Thwing Ballroom. Featuring Concerto for Flute and Orchestra, Op. 48, L. Liebermann – Allison Ballard, soloist. Also works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Schumann, and Britten.

4 - 5:30 p.m. "Mapping the Medieval World in Stained Glass: Toward a Cultural Geography of Gothic Art" presented by Gerald Guest, Assistant Professor, John Carroll University, Department of Art History and Humanities. Located in Clark Hall, Room 206.

6 - 7 p.m. Handerson Medical History Lecture: Christian Fiala, M.D., Ph.D., founder and director of the Museum of Contraception and Abortion in Vienna, Austria. Dr. Fiala will speak on the challenges and satisfactions associated with opening this new medical museum and the struggle for controlling fertility.
