A Bright Room Called Day opens tonight at Eldred Theater. This play is a powerful portrayal of individual resolution, irresolution, and dissolution set in the last days of the Weimar Republic; the story moves between the 1930s and the present, where the same evils confront us. Time: Nov. 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 at 8 p.m.

Remember when Haley Joel Osment was that cute but creepy kid from The Sixth Sense? Before that whole marijuana-possession-car-crash thing. Enjoy Osment in all of his child star glory tonight in Secondhand Lions, a coming-of-age/male bonding story that will make you forget all of the sordid details of Osment's recent past. Even if you haven't seen Borat yet, you can still enjoy Ali G Indahouse, which features British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's alterego, Ali G, becoming a youth advisor to the British Prime Minister. Thursday, Nov. 16

One of the most impressive dinosaur exhibits ever unearthed roars into town today. A T. rex Named Sue features the world's biggest and most complete Tyrannosaurus rex, which spans 42 feet. Lectures, special events, and hands-on activities will occupy visitors during the exhibit's five-month run at the Natural History Museum. Among the coolest features: you can touch Sue's teeth, play around with gizmos that control her tail, and watch animated videos about 65-milllion-year-old prehistoric beasts mercilessly devouring their prey.
