Sex & Dating: Holiday Workout

Holidays are a time for family, friends, traditions, and thousands of excess calories cleverly disguised as Aunt Mildred's irresistible pumpkin cheesecake. You might already be noticing a little extra fluff around your waist from Thanksgiving, and you know the worst is yet to come. You try to stay fit, but the weather is too gross to do anything outside and time is pretty tight during finals. Is there a solution? Of course. Experts always recommend combining exercise with your favorite activities, so here's my solution: The Get It On Guide: Holiday Fitness Edition.

For Men:

Position with a twist: Standing.

How to: Grab your girl and lift her. Have her wrap her legs around your middle to keep her sturdy. Move her around with your arms only. Start by leaning her against the wall to decrease her resistance. As your strength increases, try it in an open space, so that her weight is entirely supported by you.

Muscles targeted: Biceps, triceps, shoulders, and back.

Amp it up: Slowly lift yourself up on your toes and lower yourself back down for a great calf workout.

For Women:

Position with a twist: Woman on top.

How to: Have your man sit or lie, with his legs close together. Place one leg on either side of his torso and lower yourself. Instead of leaning forward and putting your hands on the bed or his chest, keep your hands on your hips and your chest perpendicular to the bed. Move up and down slowly, keeping your back straight. Start by allowing him to support you with his arms. As your strength and balance increases, make him keep his hands off.

Muscles targeted: Quads, glutes.

Amp it up: Twist from side to side to incorporate more of your leg muscles and your abs.

I'm sure you know that getting it on isn't the only way to burn off a few extra helpings of pumpkin pie, but how often do you spend quality time exercising with your significant other? Jogging, yoga, biking, and hiking are all really great ways to spend time with your sweetie and also get in shape. If your boyfriend/girlfriend isn't into physical activity, a little gentle prodding will often do the trick, something along the lines of "but I want to make sure we can have long, healthy lives together." If anything, that should get you into an interesting discussion.

Plain old sex can burn up to 300 calories. But with this guide, you are getting your heart rate up and toning your bod all while having a great time with your honey. Happy Holidays.
