Good pitching, defense fuel winning streak for baseball team
Shortstop Ben Faber had two hits and a run batted in for the Spartans in their 4-3 win over Myers University on Sunday.

As the old saying goes, "defense wins championships." Though out of contention for a UAA championship, solid defense has been winning games for the Case baseball team.With their record at 4-0 since returning from their stint in Florida, the Spartans have kept their heads up even when the ball has not rolled their way, notching three wins against Myers University and one against Lake Erie College."The emphasis has been on improvement," head coach Matt Englander said.[read more]

Homecoming game to be a different kind of football
This fall's homecoming game will not be the usual football game but instead a men's soccer game due to a recent scheduling change for the football season.

Homecoming is an annual tradition during which towns, high schools, and colleges come together to welcome back their alumni, usually around a game of football. Every fall, students look forward to this event with anticipation simply because it is the biggest football game of the year where students celebrate and alumni return to their old stomping grounds. However, Case's homecoming game has been changed for this fall from the traditional football game to a men's soccer game.[read more]

Improvements to be made to Greenie system, again
Students wait at Lot 46 for the Greenie.  Changes are in the works for the Greenie system, including the creation of more efficient routes and improvements to the shelters at Greenie stops.

Campus Greenie woes may soon be a thing of the past. Myles Nickolich (vice president of student affairs and chair of the Student Life Committee) and his Transportation and Security Sub-Committee have been working with the administration, University Circle neighbors, students, and Standard Parking to try toimprove the system that Student Life Committee member Ali Hasanali describes as "inefficient, unpredictable."The committee has identified a number of common student complaints.[read more]
