Set in turn-of-the-century London, Christopher Nolan's The Prestige is an intriguing tale of magic, mystery, and obsession, starring Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale as rival magicians whose tricks become matters of life and death. Fans of suspense and unnaturally attractive men are sure to enjoy tonight's offering by Film Society, which screens in Strosacker. Time: 7, 9:30 p.m., 12 a.m. Cost: $3. Location: Strosacker Auditorium. Info: films.case.edu

Cleveland Early Music group Apollo's Fire performs Bach's St. John Passion this weekend. Bach's musical account of Jesus Christ's last days will be performed in English rather than the traditional German, and promises to be divine. Time: 8 p.m. Cost: $10-$40. Location: Christ Presbyterian Church, 530 Tuscarawas St. W. Info: 216-320-0012.

Little surprise that Fighting Naked, the debut album by Humanwine, sounds like a freak-filled cabaret show. The Boston group is led by Brian Viglione, the drumming half of the Kurt Weill-loving punk band the Dresden Dolls. Humanwine's music veers closer to gypsy-flavored indie-rock, with theatrical pieces set around trash-can percussion and woozy waltzes. There's nothing on Fighting Naked (which is due in April) as melodically grabbing as the Dolls' Yes, Virginia, but the wild turns make for a complementary side project. Time: 9 p.m. Cost: $10. Location: The Grog Shop. Info: www.grogshop.gs

Tonight, Film Society presents cult classic Clue, which, just as it sounds, enacts the classic board game as guests at Mr. Boddy's mansion try to figure out who killed their host. Time: 7, 9 p.m. Cost: $3. Location: Strosacker Auditorium. Info: films.case.edu

Who said that good live concerts had to be expensive? Tonight, the rockers of Halifax hit the Agora Ballroom, with Greely Estates, Madine Lake, and Vincent Black Shadow. Time: 7 p.m. Cost: $11 in advance, $12 day of show. Location: Agora Ballroom, 5000 Euclid Ave. Info: www.clevelandagora.com

Though Case might be known for its strength in the sciences and engineering, music in many forms flourishes on campus.
