Super hot alt-hip-hop artists Gym Class Heroes (of "Cupid's Chokehold" fame) will be playing at the Spot on Wednesday, April 18 before they embark to open for Gwen Stefani on her Sweet Escape Tour this summer. Free tickets will be available today at the UPB Office; only 500 tickets will be distributed. Limit one ticket per student with ID. Time: 12:45-1:30 p.m. Cost: free with student ID. Film Society screens this year's Academy Award winner for Best Animated Film, Happy Feet. This adorable feature revolves around Mumble, a tap dancing penguin who is the worst singer in the world, which proves to be a problem in a world where singing is everything. On their first four albums, New York-based indie-rockers Calla borrowed from many inspirations, from Blade Runner to Bjork. For the new Strength in Numbers, the band turned to its own back catalog, cutting and pasting from their favorite artists: themselves.
