Also tonight, Film Society screens this year's surprise winner for the Best Picture Academy award, The Departed. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, and a host of other talented, fast-talking actors, this Martin Scorsese blood bath follows two moles in Boston, one within the police department, and one within a dangerous Irish crime syndicate. Check out Film Society's screening of The Magnificent Seven, a remake of The Seven Samurai, in which seven cowboys are picked to guard a Mexican village from b anditos. When they are hired, they go to the town and teach the villagers how to defend themselves. When the leader of the bandits comes, they fight him and his men off, but he returns for a final showdown. Tonight's Spot Night promises to be the most anticipated campus musical event of the year: Gym Class Heroes, of "Cupid's Chokehold" fame, hit campus in all of their chart-topping splendor. Unfortunately, tickets to the event are currently unavailable, but let this be a lesson to those who have yet to discover the pleasures of Spot Night: some really great acts play campus for free every Wednesday, so stay on the lookout for future performances. Upright Citizens' Brigade, a six-person professional improv comedy troupe, comes to Case's campus for one night only.
