Tau Beta Pi relocates Bookswap collections
Letter to the Editor
To the Editor:
Finals week is upon us and many students are eager to unload their old textbooks at the semester Bookswap put on by the engineering honor society Tau Beta Pi. Unfortunately, students expecting to see our volunteers in the dining halls during finals week will be surprised to see the campus bookstore there instead. Due to a new university agreement with Barnes & Noble, Tau Beta Pi is no longer allowed to use the dining halls for Bookswap collections.
While Tau Beta Pi feels disappointment at being forced to relocate from our longstanding location, we fully intend to continue with collections. Collections will be held in Nord from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays between May 3 and May 10, and in Thwing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekend of May 5 and 6. Students are also welcome to hold on to their textbooks and bring them to Bookswap in the fall. The swap itself will occur the first week of classes, August 27-31, in Nord 310.
For more information, visit http://bookswap.case.edu or e-mail bookswap@case.edu. Thank you to the student community for its continued support.
