Grammy-winning Roots hit campus this Saturday
Do you know who the Roots are? If you don't, get to know them before Saturday, when this Grammy-winning hip hop group hits Adelbert Gymnasium at 7 p.m. for this year's "One Big" UPB-sponsored concert."I've never heard of the Roots before, but I guess they seem to do good work. Men defeat Wooster, extend undefeated streak
The men's soccer team (8-0-1) was able to continue its stellar season to date with a thrilling overtime win Tuesday night at home against nationally ranked College of Wooster (7-1). With the win, the team reached last year's win total before reaching the midpoint of this season. One more victory will tie the team record of nine win, set in 1981.The game-winning goal was scored by sophomore forward R.J. French (103:18) off of a double assist by sophomore Justin Steggerda and junior Neal Duryea.[read more]
Scots deal another frustrating loss, claim Baird Trophy
Some days, a win is just not in the cards for a particular team, no matter what it does. The Spartan football team had one of those days last Saturday, as they fell to the Fighting Scots of Wooster College, 21-7.With the win, the Scots claimed the Baird Trophy, awarded to the winner of the Case-Wooster game since 1984, for the 10th straight season. The loss was the first of the season for the Spartans, dropping their record to 3-1. Wooster improved to 3-0.[read more]
