Major, sport, year, etc.: Chris Kerr is a senior chemical engineer from Cambridge, Ohio who plays on the Case football team.

Position: Free Safety/Long Snapper

Years participating in football: 14

Hobbies/Extracurricular activities: Golf, World of Warcraft, rattlesnake roundups.

Athletic honors: To be continued…

Jeffrey T. Verespej: You mean being drafted in 2007 right? Best football memory?

Chris Kerr: The 2006 UAA championship.

JTV: What is this, Back to the Future? Worst football memory?

CK: Team showers. Wait, maybe that's the best.

JTV: Do you still sing in there? Favorite quote?

CK: "Be the ball."

JTV: So you like getting thrown and kicked around…that explains a lot, Chris. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

CK: In the mirror.

JTV: How many years have you been waiting to use that one? Something most people don't know about you?

CK: I'm single.

JTV: I said something that people don't know about you. And because mentioning that in The Observer will really change your luck there. What makes football stand out from other sports?

CK: I think it's the only sport played with a football.

JTV: You make my job easy. I don't even have to try to be funny anymore. Would you rather have the strength of 1000 men, be able to fly, or be invisible?

CK: Yes, yes, yes.

JTV: And you're single and you love the showers. Creepy. If they made a movie about your life, who would you want to play you?

CK: Shaq. Can't you see the resemblance?

JTV: Yeah, you move about as quickly as he does too. If you could be one place but Case (like you would ever want to leave), where would you go?

CK: Shangri-La.

JTV: What would we find in your locker right now that might surprise us?

CK: Chris Bucher's copy of Football For Dummies.

JTV: If the shoe fits. Is that right next to his How to Impersonate Jim Tressel book? Never mind. What's your least favorite thing about football?

CK: The games. Practices are so much better.

JTV: Way to be a Tuesday afternoon all-star. If you could participate in any other sport, which would you pick and why?

CK: Synchronized swimming and curling. They are so underrated.

JTV: But would Bucher make a good teammate in those? I'd pick Josh Dudek first. What goes through your mind during a play?

CK: This is going to look great on film.

JTV: Is that before or after you put down the water bottle? What's it like being a sex symbol to millions of lonely Case girls?

CK: Being a sex symbol is a really hard and dirty job, but someone has to do it.

JTV: I've seen you at the bar. You work way too hard at it. Finish this sentence: Football is like a girl…

CK: Football is like a guy because we're always trying to score as much as possible.

JTV: I said girl, but okay. Who are your favorite athletes?

CK: Kurt Rambis and Greg Ostertag.

JTV: Oh, how perfect, you look up to guys that have similar physical features…thanks for the interview!
