This week's General Assembly meeting opened with President Neil Ursic's Executive Board report. The SEC finalized regulations for the expression wall behind Thwing. The effective rules are that any member of the Case community may paint on the wall for the purpose of promoting events and informing the student body. Painting may occur only between midnight and 6 a.m. to ensure exposure, and no hurtful, profane, or otherwise obscene messages may be posted.

VP of Student Life Myles Nickolich discussed the Greenie survey currently in progress. Members of the committee will be riding on the bus surveying riders. Lighting tours, where committee members and interested students discuss the addition of more lighting to campus walkways, will be held on Northside next Thursday at 9 p.m. at Starbucks in the Village. The Southside tour was held this past Thursday.

VP of Academic Affairs Dustin Fisher talked about the upcoming Open Forum to be held at Wade Fireside on Tuesday. Dean Julie Amon and SAGES director Peter Whiting will be in attendance. All freshmen are invited to attend, and food will be served.

Case's Vice President of Student Affairs talked to the GA about its resolution regarding political activism and expression on campus. In the coming few days, he is planning on releasing new regulations that will allow speakers to come to campus, as long as no political fundraising occurs.

Case's Vice President of Campus Services also spoke to the assembly regarding Case's new police service. Earlier this week, members of the new Case Police Force were sworn in. This new force will be able to focus on securing the Case campus and not all of University Circle.

The only bill for the week was a finance committee bill officially recognizing several student groups, and allocating money to student groups that recently requested it. This bill and the allocations can be seen online.
