Medical school continues use of live animals in classes

With nearly 700 students, over 1500 faculty, and prestigious affiliations with University Hospitals, MetroHealth, and the Cleveland Clinic, among others, the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, buried cozily on the long stretch of Adelbert Road, has been an important part of the university since its creation in 1843. The Case School of Medicine had over 6000 students apply to its three programs this past year, with only 187 qualified students matriculating into the class of 2011.[read more]

Poor shooting, tough WashU doom Spartans

Despite three Spartans scoring in double digits, the women's basketball team fell to a strong Washington University team Sunday night in St. Louis.Taking the lead after 28 seconds, the Bears never looked back. USG, Standard Parking team up to fix unreliable Greenie system

Since late last semester, USG has worked to finally resolve one of CWRU students' biggest aggravations: the Greenies. After sending out a brief survey last semester to receive student feedback on the ever-changing Greenie system, USG collected approximately 200 responses, categorizing the opinions and complaints in order to draft a proposal of changes to the system.[read more]
