Campus group puts the fun in blood donation
The phrase "blood drive" usually conjures up images of sitting for minutes or hours in an uncomfortable chair, waiting for a chance to give up a pint of precious blood cells. Next week, a new campus group will try to give their blood drive a transfusion of fun.The group, Health Care Service Leaders, is hosting the two-day event in Nord atrium next Wednesday and Thursday.In order to attract more contributors, HCSL has devised ways to appeal to all students on campus.[read more]
Spring career fair to fill Adelbert Gym with potential employers
Students of all majors have something to look forward to at this semester's career fair: a record number of employers are looking for students majoring in the arts and sciences, in addition to the regularly recruited engineers.Approximately 95 companies, ranging from small Cleveland businesses to multinational corporations, will be seeking both interns and full-time employees at the upcoming 2008 Get Experienced! Internship and Career Fair.[read more]
Tuition to increase by 5 percent next year
Case's tuition increase for next fall is the university's lowest in seven years, leaving students money for important things like textbooks and pizza.The increase was announced by provost Jerold Goldberg three weeks before the scheduled release at an open forum held Monday night in Thwing.Students who entered Case before the 2006-2007 school year will see a 5.02 percent increase in tuition ,to $33,500. Students entering in that school year or later will pay $34,450: a 5.03 percent increase.[read more]
