Case Western's own Indian Students Association hosts one of the biggest events of the year in the ISA 2008 Cultural Show: A Love Story. Thwing Ballroom will be packed the entire evening as good food will be accompanied by class dances, Case Bhangra, Bollywood Fusion, EKTA Raas, and more. Time: 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Cost: $3-$10. Dance the night away with food, a fashion show, a live DJ, a live band, and all of your closest friends at the 2008 Snowball, continuing the busy weekend in a big way. The Class Officer Collective gives us their best in an opportunity to get all dolled up and sway with your lover on the dance floor. Time: 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Cost: $12 (single), $20 (couple). A documentary straight out of Denmark, The Monastery: Mr. Vig and the Nun depicts a battle of wills between an 82-year-old Danish bachelor and a nun who wants to turn his house into a monastery. Today kicks off a week-long celebration of Case Engineers, aptly titled Case Engineers Week. The first event is an expo that allows undergraduate students and prospectives to explore, interact, and experience the various engineering departments. Time: 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost: Free. The Cleveland Botanical Garden gives a shout-out to an exotic tropical flower, the orchid, with an exhibit titled "Orchid Mania: The Seductive Orchid." The display is a tour through rooms and halls of a garden, all filled with hundreds upon hundreds of orchids. Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: Free (with Case ID). Wednesday, Feb. 20
In a project that combines art with community service, Cedar Residential College is holding auditions tonight for its Cedar Cabaret, which will take place on April 19. If you can sing, act, or do both, come prepared with a song and a heart full of confidence because your audition is for a spot in the show!
