Case Western's own Pakistani Student Association hosts one of the bigger events of the year in the PSA 2008 Cultural Show: Shaam-E-Hangama. Thwing Ballroom will feature Case Bhangra, Dhamakapella, a skit, a concert, and more. You don't want to miss this rather entertaining student group cultural show. Time: 5 p.m. Cost: $8. Saturday, Feb. 23
The Middle Eastern Cultural Association hosts their annual spring show. With the humorous title "Real World: Middle East," the show will kick off with delicious Arabian food. Real World: Middle East will then commence with entertainment, featuring shows, videos, and beautiful people. A guaranteed great time. Check it out! Time: 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost: $7. With MECA and PSA already having their cultural shows this weekend, do you feel like you aren't diverse enough in your international experiences? One more chance is available as the Korean Students Association has their cultural show to try to top all others. Korean food and entertainment will be available for over three hours. If you are having too much fun, they might let you stay a bit longer. Enjoy it. Time: 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cost: $8. Location: Thwing Ballroom.
Monday, Feb. 25
Today kicks off a week-long commitment to fighting AIDS, titled none other than Global AIDS Week of Action, sponsored by the Case AMSA pre-med group. The first event today is a red-balloon event in Nord Auditorium along with a wristband fundraiser to help those afflicted with HIV/AIDS. Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost: Free. Location: Nord. If you got your tickets from UPB, the Broadway smash Wicked goes down tonight at Cleveland's Playhouse Square. The story is a taken on the classic Wizard of Oz, using music and song to tell the story of Glinda and Elphaba. Time: 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cost: $20. Location: Playhouse Square, 1501 Euclid Ave #200. Wednesday, Feb. 27
Springfest '08, in partnership with UPB hosts the annual Battle of the Bands competition tonight. Listen and then vote for your favorite campus band as they battle it out to win the ultimate honor. Once the votes are tallied, the winning band will open for Springfest's headliner (yet to be announced). Check out the fun tonight and remember that every vote counts.
