Friday, Feb. 29

Tonight, the Flats are back in action. Leap Night, an outdoor extravaganza anticipating the return of the Flats, is being held downtown on the future location, and it promises to be a celebration and a half. The event includes a snowboarding ramp, video game competitions, and a snowsuit fashion show, among others. Time: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Cost: Free. Location: 1100 Old River Road. Saturday, March 1

The Vagina Monologues, an annual tradition here on Case's campus, are being performed this weekend. The performances are student-run, and each vignette speaks out against violence towards women. All the proceeds from this hilarious ensemble production benefit the YWCA: Domestic Violence Program and the V-Day campaign. Time: 8 p.m. Cost: $3 to $5. Location: Amasa Stone Chapel. Sunday, March 2

If by some stroke of luck, you have nothing to do Sunday night before midterm week, head on down to the House of Blues for a performance by moe., a University of Buffalo jam band. Harkening back to the good ol' boys of rock and roll, this quintet will definitely show you a good time, taking your mind off of those crazy midterms coming your way. Time: 8 p.m. Cost: $22 to $25. Monday, March 3

Tonight, the Symphonic Winds and the Case Wind Ensemble put on their second concert of the semester. In addition to the two Case headliners, the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony II is also performing. Time: 7:30 p.m. Cost: $10. Location: Severance Hall. Info: music.case.edu.

Tuesday, March 4

For something new and interesting, check out the current exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art: "Arms and Armor from Imperial Austria." Featuring collections dating from 1500 to 1650, this exhibit promises to be a fascinating look at weaponry presented as art. Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: Free with Case ID. Wednesday, March 5

For your hip-hop fix this week, the House of Blues is hosting Pharrell Williams' band, N.E.R.D. tonight. Thursday, March 6

This weekend, the Akron-based theater troupe Bang & the Clatter bring Adam Rapp's drama Blackbird to their new Cleveland home. The play, revolving around a Gulf War veteran and a runaway with hepatitis, promises to be emotionally affecting. Time: 8 p.m. Cost: $15. Location: Bang & the Clatter, 224 Euclid Avenue.
