University official responds to tennis concerns
To the Editor:
Recently there have been a number of concerns raised about our Case Western Reserve University tennis program. As with any concerns raised about any of our academic programs, there are policies and procedures in place to address student concerns or grievances.
To this date David Diles, athletic director/chair of physical education and athletics, and head tennis coach Nancy Rahn have tried to reach out to previous tennis team members to hear their concerns. As of yet, the past tennis team members have voiced their concerns everywhere but where our university policy directs. Our university policy that advises students on how to correctly voice their concerns can be found on page A-71 in our online student handbook (http://www.case.edu/provost/ugstudies/handbook2006.pdf). I urge any past tennis team members with concerns to take advantage of this policy.
Athletic director David Diles and tennis coach Nancy Rahn plan to again reach out to our past tennis team members to encourage them to come in and participate in the university process to have their complaints addressed and to allow for a final review and decision.

Associate VP for Student Affairs
