Top 10 ... Date Nights in Cleveland

It's Friday night. You and your sweetie are planning to go on a little date, but a question arises. What to do? Check out this list of the top 10 date nights in Cleveland for some ideas to spice up your norm.

10. Legacy Village – This outdoor shopping center is home to a large selection of restaurants, including Stir Crazy, The Cheesecake Factory, and California Pizza Kitchen. If your date is indecisive, just head to Legacy Village and wing it once you get there; there's something for everyone.

9. Film Society – Each weekend, the CWRU Film Society shows two different movies at multiple times on the big screen in Strosacker. These movies range from recent blockbusters to flicks from when your mother and father were dating. At just $3 per person, this is one of the cheapest dates you'll find, so feel free to make it a part of your routine.

8. Ice Skating – There's no better way to get to know a person than watching them fall on their butts while trying to ice skate. Plus, everyone loves to relive their childhood and skate around in circles. Maybe, if you're really struggling, your date will give you a few pointers! Contact the Cleveland Heights Community Center for more information on open skate times.

7. The Cleveland Zoo – I don't think there's a person on the earth who doesn't like animals, especially when they're all behind glass. Guys, if you're trying to impress your girl, just fawn over all the cute animals and spend a lovely day together strolling through the zoo.

6. Arabica – As sleep-deprived college students, most of us are dependent upon a daily caffeine fix, and Arabica not only has an extensive menu of coffees, but also has desserts and some lunch menu items. Plus, the cozy and less-corporate atmosphere makes this the perfect place to sit and hold an intellectual conversation.

5. Go to a concert – Between smaller venues like The Grog Shop and the Agora that usually specialize in lesser-known and local bands, and larger venues like The Q, which attracts some of the biggest artists of today, there's a concert nearly every night in Cleveland. Take your date and enjoy some of the great music this city has to offer.

4. KSL – Yup, I'm talking about Kelvin Smith Library. Why not sit and do some homework on your date? It's both romantic (those big leather chairs) and practical. Let's face it: when at Case, most of us don't have time to go on a real date anyway.

3. An athletic event – Cleveland is home to a host of professional sports teams, and Case has a number of athletic teams as well. So, whether you're supporting the pros or a friend on a team, try hitting up an athletic event for your next date.

2. Gelato in Little Italy – With its year-round lights and music that can be heard from the streets, there are few places more romantic than Little Italy. However, if you want to avoid the cliché date, go for dessert instead. Anthony's has some of the best gelato you'll ever taste, and feeding your date with a little spoon could make for a highly amusing time.

1. The warehouse district – With a wealth of upscale dining, the warehouse district is a hidden gem in Cleveland. Most restaurants are a bit pricey, but if you're looking to really splurge and impress your date, this would be the place to go.
