Actively planning toward the future, interim provost Jerold Goldberg led a task force set to evaluate the university and prioritize goals. The new university plan, 17 pages in all, will guide every decision at the university level in the next 5-10 years and provide feedback on how effectively the university is coping in an increasingly competitive higher-education environment.[read more]

As college students, we face new challenges and new lessons to be learned each day. Fifty-nine percent of students from the class of 2007 graduated with over $32,000 in student loans. Over 65 percent of those students have concerns about their ability to finance their education. Planning for nearby retail and housing center continues
This summer, the MRN Ltd. group and Nathan Zaremba announced plans for the $300 million Uptown project, a residential and entertainment development to be built along Euclid Avenue in University Circle. With the renovation of University Circle, developers aim to transform the area into an epicenter of culture and entertainment – changes that will no doubt affect the daily lives of current and future Case students.[read more]
U.S. News Ranks Colleges: Case holds steady at No. 41
In news that surprised no one who follows US News & World Report's annual rankings of American colleges and universities, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale have yet again occupied the top three spots on the list. Case Western Reserve University was ranked No. 41 for the second year running.[read more]
