The quarrel between Israelis and Palestinians is no laughing matter, but perhaps both sides could find a lesson and some common ground in humor. The Case chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine is hosting a performance of "Standup for Peace: The Two Comedian Solution to Middle East Peace," written and performed by Scott Blakeman and Dean Obeidallah. The comedy consists of separate performances from each and two performances featuring both parties that bookend the show. A question and answer session will follow. Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Cost: $7. Location: Thwing Ballroom. Contact: austin.ashwill@case.edu

Four of Case's a cappella groups will beatbox and harmonize their way through arrangements of popular tunes for the A Cappellooza festival. The Case Men's Glee Club, who is sponsoring the event, the Case Women's Glee Club, Bigger Than a Breadbox, and Solstice are scheduled to perform. The event will mark the first performance of the year for some of the groups and will also provide an introduction to many for Case's new students to some of the school's many a cappella ensembles. Time: 7 p.m. Cost: Free. Location: Harkness Chapel. Contact: www.caseglee.com
Two bands that Case students may be familiar with are performing together at The Beachland Tavern. This year, however, they are riding on the success of their album, All Together. Additionally, local Cleveland indie-rockers Lines Across Lines, who recently released an EP on iTunes and performed at WRUW's Studio-a-Rama last weekend, will open. Time: 9 p.m. Cost: $7. Location: The Beachland Tavern. Contact: www.beachlandballroom.com
