Relay For Life kicks off today

Relay For Life will kick off today in Thwing at 12:30 p.m. Although Relay For Life will not be held until next semester, from April 15 to April 16, fundraising efforts are well underway. This year, the committee aims to raise $70,000, which is considerably less than last year’s goal of $85,000. A lower fundraising goal may be prudent, as last year’s fundraising total fell $9000 short of the goal. Alex Popko, marketing co-chair for the 2010-2011 Relay Committee highly encourages students and members of the CWRU community to attend. “It’s an opportunity for people to become more involved in planning Relay For Life, as well as an opportunity to register a team and to raise more awareness,” he said.
