Sami Aryal, Opinion Designer

Sami is a third-year pre-med student majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Art Studio. She has been the opinion designer for The Observer for a year and a half. Outside of The Observer she is also a Resident Assistant, researches in the medical school, and is the PR Chair for Autism Speaks U. The Church of Convenant provides the University Circle community a sanctuary where they can discuss their concerns and opinions freely. The church also has an emergency food pantry, a resale store and events like Thursday night dinner to engage CWRU students and community members.

To honor the World Social Justice Day, The Social Justice Institute and Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence hosted a panel discussion on the Syria refugee crsis. Professors from political science and history, and the public relation mananger of a Cleveland refugee camp weighed in on this issue.
