Friday, November 19

There are a multitude of parties to attend this weekend! One of the best happens to be the Delta Epsilon Rave that will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland. Bring donations in exchange for glowsticks and “rave kits”; all the money goes to a great cause! DJs will be providing live mixes all night.

Location: Delta House at the Top of the Hill, 11917 Carlton Rd.

Time: 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Cost: Free, donations strongly encouraged.

Saturday, November 20

The newest installment of MaDaCol, CWRU’s dance department’s bi-annual program that displays the choreography of its MA and graduating BA students is scheduled to take place this weekend. Choreography by Christopher Bell, Kristy Clement, Ying Xu will be debuted during the show. Students at any level or program who are involved with dance as well as CWRU staff and alumnus participate in the show.

Location: Mather Dance Center.

Time: 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $5 at the door.

Sunday, November 21

Satrang, the Indian Graduate Student Association is hosting their annual cultural celebration Tarang, a night filled with music, dancing, ethnic foods, and masti. The event is sure to be delicious and enriching for students from all different backgrounds. All students at CWRU are encouraged to attend to experience something new or for some, a celebration that reminds them of home.

Location: Thwing Ballroom.

Time: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Cost: Free.

Monday, November 22

The Cleveland Public Theatre has brought Christmas to the area for years by displaying over 70 professionally decorated Christmas trees from local organizations. Be there for the ceremonial flipping of the switch as the trees are illuminated for the first time this season. Get some decorating ideas and bask in the artificial lights of the evergreens. It’s never too early for holiday cheer.

Location: Cleveland Public Theatre, 8500 Euclid Ave.

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Cost: Free.

Wednesday, November 24

Spacement on Coventry is hosting a day before Thanksgiving arts extravaganza. DJs, live bands, and artists in action will be performing at the event. Music will span from indie rock, to hip hop, and dub step. Take some time out before the holidays begin to relax and appreciate the Cleveland art scene. All planning to attend must RSVP via Facebook; search Spacement House Party ((Coventry)). This event is 18+.

Location: 1710 Coventry Rd.

Time: 6:00 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Cost: Free.

Thursday, November 25

Thwing is hosting Thanksgiving for all those students not lucky enough to go home for Grandma’s meat loaf this holiday season. Turkey, pumpkin pie, and a number of other traditional Thanksgiving dishes will be served.

Location: 1914 Lounge, Thwing Center.

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Cost: $6.
