Faculty forum: grade inflation
Greek Life hosts this panel discussion on grades and what they really mean in our academic setting. What is you’re A really worth? They will be discussing the impact that grade inflation has on our academic records. Dean Nancy DiIulio will moderate the discussion, with members of the College of Arts and Science, Case School of Engineering, Weatherhead School of Management, and Francis Payne Bolton School of Nursing on the panel. Free lunch will be provided with a chance to win a Qdoba gift card.

ShowCASE is an annual charity open-mic night hosted by Universities Allied for Essential Medicines, which helps provide global healthcare and access to medicines in developing countries. The Jolly Scholar will offer special deals to those in attendance. Performers include the Case house band and others.

Color Me Equal: A Night of Art and Rock
GLASA has partnered with Cleveland State University’s Office of Diversity and Multi-Cultural Affairs to host their annual art show and silent auction. Local artists, bands, and merchants will showcase their talents and goods in support of Cleveland’s LGBT community. The event is open to everyone no matter your background or sexuality. Over 10 local bands have been booked for the event.

The Baker-Nord Center presents: the Double Life of Celebrity
Celebrities are extraordinary and typical, omnipotent and vulnerable; they can seem simultaneously masculine and feminine, straight and gay; and they appeal across ethnic, religious, and national boundaries. In this lecture, Sharon Marcus, the Orlando Harriman Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, explores the dual nature of celebrity by focusing on 19th-century actress Sarah Bernhardt.
