Nothing says October like spooky season and this Halloween, be prepared to feel a true scare. For many of us this fall, we have been so bogged down by homework, midterms and the stress of school and trying to get enough sleep that we have completely forgotten to experience the true meaning of “spooky season.”
This Friday, Nov. 1, get ready to enter a freak show like no other. The brothers of both Zeta Beta Tau and Theta Chi will be hosting their fifth annual and highly anticipated Zeta Beta Terror: The Freak Show. Offering both scary and non-scary aspects, the event is sure to be a huge hit with the majority of Case Western Reserve University students.
For only $7.50 for individuals, or $5 a person for groups of 10 or more, you can be prepared to be spooked by a carnival “freak show” themed haunted house.
The event will begin at Theta Chi where, according to the fraternities, you can expect to enjoy “hot chocolate, snacks and scary stories by the fireplace.” As you wait your turn and mentally prepare yourself to be spooked, you’ll quickly find yourself in the front of the line.
Get prepared to grasp onto your friends and scream as both Zeta Beta Tau and Theta Chi guarantee that you will enjoy “our burnt-out carnival’s freak show where we will have plenty of games and tricks up our sleeves.”
Profits from ticket sales will benefit the organization MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger. The organization’s mission is “inspired by Jewish values and ideals, Mazon is a national advocacy organization working to end hunger among people of all faiths and backgrounds in the United States and Israel.”
This event is the perfect way to begin November and finish off the Halloween season with a true thrill like no other.
With snacks, scares and being right in CWRU’s backyard, there is no reason not to check out the event and give back to a good cause.
