Employee charged for stabbing co-worker with scissors at Cleveland Hopkins

Vonda Gardner of East Cleveland, a Spirit Airlines employee, was accused of stabbing her co-worker with a pair of scissors at the ticket counter at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Sunday night, according to Cleveland.com.

The unnamed victim, a 25-year-old man from Westlake, received a cut to the stomach as well as the hand, after trying to push the scissors away.

The victim got into an argument with Gardner over an incident where she said he was not allowed to sit down on the luggage belt, and took photos of him while he was sitting. Gardner was angered when he attempted to read an email she was sending to management over her shoulder, and turned off the monitor. When he turned it back on, Gardner acted violently.

Gardner has no other criminal history in Cleveland and posted $25,000 bond following her arraignment at Cleveland Municipal Court on Tuesday.

Rock Hall expands collection with updated exhibit

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Downtown Cleveland has added items to its collection in their showcase of modern rising musicians, the “Right Here, Right Now!” exhibit, according to Cleveland Scene.

The newly acquired items include clothes from The Lumineers’ “Ho Hey” music video, a jacket from Arctic Monkeys’ frontman Alex Turner, Star Wars helmets worn by Joe Jonas in his band’s recent tour and a black hat worn by Zac Brown at the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

The exhibit focuses on the current generation of artists and has included artifacts from Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Kesha.

Two Men Rob PNC Bank in Lyndhurst

Two men were taken into custody after robbing a bank on Mayfield Road and crashing a stolen SUV on Wednesday, according to Cleveland.com.

The SUV crashed into another car around 1:30 p.m. and injured one of the men as well as the other driver. The two men had attempted to rob the bank by saying that they had a bomb, and used the stolen SUV as a getaway vehicle. Investigators called a bomb squad to the scene of the crash after locating a suspicious package in the SUV.

An 18-year-old fled the vehicle but was later captured by law enforcement.

Campbell’s Sweets opens new location Downtown

Campbell’s Sweets Factory held a grand opening on Nov. 15 for their fourth location, near The Arcade on Superior Avenue, according to WKYC.com.

The store offers candy, flavored popcorn, cupcakes and chocolate. The original location was opened by Jeff and Lynn Campbell in 2004 at the West Side Market in Ohio City and originally focused mainly on candy products, but since then has become known for their large selection of popcorn flavors that include Beer Cheese, French Toast and Apple Pie.

Their two other locations are in Lakewood and a larger factory on W 25th Street in Ohio City.
