Request For Coverage

Is there an upcoming event on campus that you want covered by the Observer? In order to request coverage, email observer@case.edu

To pitch an article, email observer-news@case.edu, observer-life@case.edu, observer-opinion@case.edu, or observer-sports@case.edu, according to what section it best fits under. You will be reached out to by the section editor with next steps. It is up to the discretion of the Executive Editor and the Editorial Board to determine whether or not to run the submissions and there is no obligation for The Observer to publish a piece.

When determining whether or not a piece will be run:
- The article should be relevant to our readers.
- The Observer has an obligation to ensure our readers receive legitimate
information. Thus, generally, articles that are factually incorrect or problematic in some other way will not be run.
- The decision to run an article is ultimately up to the discretion of the Executive Editor and the Editorial Board.

An accepted article will be placed in both the print version and online.

Got photos? Approved photos will have the opportunity of making it to our print and online newspaper. As a contributor, you will have access to a spreadsheet of future news events that need photographs. You will be added to a spreadsheet with updating information about the photos that are needed for upcoming articles.
