A new executive MBA (EMBA) program will be available next semester. The Weatherhead School of Management and Cleveland Clinic have partnered up to create a program that offers knowledge in health care strategy and economics.

The classes will be taught by Weatherhead faculty, who are praised for their expertise in health care, and instructors from the Cleveland Clinic, one of the top hospitals in the nation. The program contains leadership training from Weatherhead and innovation for patient care from Cleveland Clinic.

“Health care is in the midst of an unprecedented transformation and is changing how we deliver care to patients and how we are reimbursed for services,” said Cleveland Clinic President and CEO Delos M. “Toby” Cosgrove, MD in a statement.

The curriculum was developed to respond to the dramatic growth of people in the healthcare field. It was also created to address the growing need of top-level administrators and physicians to be prepared for an evolved and complex industry.

This is a 20-month MBA program that offers 16 sessions over the course of five semesters. Classes will be held on the Weatherhead campus as well as the Cleveland Clinic campus.

The courses are designed to look at health care disciplines through the perspective of business and leadership. The courses cover a range of subjects—some including business statistics and health finance.
