HM 1. Indoor Success
The Spartans placed seven individuals in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association honorees for indoor track and field. Five Spartans from the men’s squad were named along side two athletes from the women’s squad. Cabral, Ibibo, Merriman and Mlack, along with Wahner were the honorees for the men. Fourth-year student Kelsey Aamoth and Newman were honored for the women. Their accomplishments would be higher on the list but with a whole outdoor season ahead of them we are looking for even better things from the track and field teams.

HM 2. Veale gets a facelift
Over winter break the Veale Fieldhouse floor got a much needed facelift. The 17-year-old surface was sanded down and a new state of the art material was laid down on top, matching school colors, providing more bounce and inlaid lines to keep from wearing away overtime. The new floor is a 10mm BSS 2000 RE floor from Beynon Sports Surfaces and has been a highly appreciated improvement. Improvements to athletics facilities also included new floors and benches in the general purpose locker rooms and a resealing of the floors in Adelbert Gymnasium.
