Notes: Come enjoy fresh, complimentary gelato during community hour with La Dolce Vita to celebrate the end of another school year.
What: Speakeasy + Solstice Joint Acapella Concert
When: 8-10 p.m.
Where: Harkness Chapel
Notes: Speakeasy and Solstice will join forces to host a free a cappella concert with free food, including cake.
Saturday, April 28
What: The 108th Hudson Relays
When: 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Where: Adelbert Hall
Notes: The Hudson Relays are Case Western Reserve University’s oldest tradition. Every class has a team of 50 runners, each running an 800-meter leg of the 26.2-mile race around campus. If a class team wins all four years, their class receives a steak and champagne dinner at graduation. The only class which currently stands a chance of winning the special dinner is the class of 2021. However, the class of 2020 remains in the running for a Burgers 2 Beer dinner, should they win three years in a row.
What: Springfest
When: 3-9 p.m.
Where: The Throwing Field across from Linsalata Alumni Center and Coffee House
Notes: This year marks the 20th Springfest, CWRU’s annual concert and celebration of student life. The event will feature a ferris wheel, professional balloon and henna artists, campus organization tabellings and free food trucks from 3-6 p.m. The main event, the Springfest concert, starts at 7 p.m., and will feature musicians Sean Kingston and B.o.B. This event is free for current students and $5 for alumni.
What: Case Men’s Glee Club’s Spring Final Concert
When: 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Where: Amasa Stone Chapel
Notes: This free a cappella concert by Case Men’s Glee Club, the oldest student organization on campus, will feature Case Men’s Glee Club’s entire repertoire from this academic year. With music ranging from barbershop to pop, there will be something for everyone.
Sunday, April 29
What: Drink and Draw
When: 6-9 p.m.
Where: Happy Dog at the Euclid Tavern
Notes: Enjoy a free evening of drinking and drawing courtesy of Euclid Tavern and Blick Art Materials at this all ages event. The only thing you need to bring is your creativity.
What: Rob Kovacs in Residence: 88bit
When: 8 p.m.
Where: Happy Dog at the Euclid Tavern
Notes: This upcoming Sunday marks the fourth week of musician Rob Kovacs’ six-week artist residency at Happy Dog, and will feature video game music while attendants enjoy hot dogs and some tater tots.
