Friday, November 12

 

Eurydice is the second play brought to Case by the Theater Department this season. The play is a modern interpretation of a classic Greek fable rewritten by Sarah Ruhl. Take a trip to the underworld and come support classmates and friends in this new play. The play runs until November 21.

Location: Eldred Theatre.

Time: 8:00 p.m.

Cost: $5 for students with ID, $10 without.

 

Saturday, November 13

 

The Beachland Ballroom on the near East Side is hosting yet another tasty Rockin’ Brunch this Sunday. DJs will be live, spinning tunes while patrons stuff their face with gourmet breakfast foods. In the next two weeks, the brunch is hosting some of WRUW FM’s very own DJs to keep the event rollin’.

Location: Beachland Ballroom and Tavern, 15711 Waterloo Rd.

Time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost: Free to attend.

 

Wednesday, November 17

 

The Cleveland Institute of Music is performing Handel’s 35th opera, Xeres this week through November 20. Outrageous and extravagant costuming by Alison Garrigan can be expected, as well as some of the U.S.’s best talent bolting it out on stage and playing from the pit. This is a musically edgy and sophisticated show with a multi-gendered lead role.

Location: Kulas Hall at CIM.

Time: 8 p.m.

Cost: $10 for students, $15 for non-students.

 

Wednesday, November 17

 

Alumna Susan Streeter Carpenter will be reading selections of fiction from her new book Riders on the Storm. The event is sponsored by the English Department and light refreshments will be provided at the event. Hear her work live and learn a little bit about her long and accomplished career that started here on Case soil.

Location: Guilford House Parlor

Time: 4:30 p.m to 6 p.m.

Cost: Free.
