On a cold Saturday, with temperatures in the 40s, the Case Western Reserve University Spartans beat the Trinity Tigers. This brings the Spartans record to an even 3-3 as they come off last week’s victory versus Puget Sound. The game also marked head coach Greg Debeljak’s 100th game on the CWRU sideline and brings his personal record to an impressive 70-30.

The game was hard fought, with the deciding touchdown coming the fourth quarter. Freshman receiver Brendan Lynch fumbled a touchdown pass, which was recovered by senior running back Kenny Riordan. The Spartan defense held the Tiger’s last offensive drive, ensuring a Case Western victory.

The Spartans second victory in a row represents newfound gumption heading into next week. They will face Chicago at home on Saturday, their first game of conference play, and the only conference competition they will see at home.
