Intramural softball playoffs around corner

Springtime is officially upon us. The flowers are blooming, the sun is finally shining and, most importantly, softball season is upon us. The regular season for intramural softball is coming to a close here at Case Western Reserve University. In anticipation of the playoffs, let us see how teams have fared down the stretch? Who is entering the playoffs on a hot streak, and who is slumping?

In the Co-Rec league, SOFTCORE beat yeah you right, while Sigma Nu/DG defeated beta/Gobies. The Softball Saint emerged victorious against Macroballs. Sigma Nu/DG triumphed over Pi Kappa Phi/Tri Sigma. Fiji/Theta mauled Phi Psi x AXO 14-1, while Blast Crisis knocked the ball around against SOFTCORE to the tune of a 24-5 score. SOFTCORE defeated Softballs, while Blast Crisis shut out The Softball Saints 20-0. Pharmies earned a victory against yeah you right. Pharmies and FlossBosses played to a 6-6 tie, while yeah you right and Bob Loblaw’s Law Blog also finished in a tie score. Macroballs emerged victorious against Slugging Brews by a final score of 10-6. The Softball Saints eked out an 11-10 win over SOFTCORE in a barn burner. Blast Crisis emerged triumphant over Macroballs 12-11 in a classic. Slugging Brews doubled up Pharmies by a 12-6 final, while Softballs demolished Bob Loblaw’s Law Blog to the tune of a 21-4 tally.

In the Fraternity league, Fiji pitched a shutout against SigEp A winning 9-0. Delta Tau Delta earned a well-deserved victory against Sigma Chi. SigEp A came out on top in an 11-5 slugfest over Delta Sigma Phi. Fiji easily took care of business against Delta Tau Delta by a final count of 17-4. SAE acquitted themselves well in a victory over Vandelay Industires, earning a 16-5 win. Phi Delt blanked Zeta Psi in a 10-0 victory.

In the Open league, BME SunDevils defeated Norton Hears a Who 7-3. The Kekambas easily came out with a win over #teamgetswole 13-2. MBA Slide emerged victorious against Norton Hears a Who in a 12-7 offensive showdown. BME SunDevils took care of their business against The Mighty Wombats with a 10-0 triumph. Bad News Bears defeated BME SunDevils. The Kekambas emerged victorious against MBA Slide, while Norton Hears a Who won against The Mighty Wombats. Finally, #teamgetswole eked out a 7-6 win over BME SunDevils.

With the playoffs just around the corner, the action will only intensify. As these teams battle it out for the title of League Champion, we are guaranteed to be treated to a few instant classics and perhaps some unexpected barn burners along the way.
