The Case Western Women’s Soccer Team dropped to 4-2 after Sunday’s overtime loss to Wittenberg.  The Spartans played a very strong game battling the Tigers through regulation. The Spartan’s outshot Wittenberg 19-13, with two shots within seconds of each other in the final three minutes of regulation. However the Spartans were still unable to find the back of the net as the score remained tied at zero. Junior goalkeeper Abbey Smith played a strong game between the posts with six saves. However, the Tigers snatched away the match from Case Western when Wittenberg’s Kayla Murphy beat Smith just over a minute into overtime, scoring the game’s only goal at the 91:06 mark. The Spartans will play next on Wednesday September 18th at Baldwin Wallace.
