Cross Country Competes in Knight Invitational, Split Squad at Behrend

The Case Western Reserve University Cross Country team went up against stiff competition at the Knight Invitational today. The women’s squad shone, placing third out of 26 teams, with five runners finishing with times in the top 50 and sophomore star Kelsey Aamoth running 6th overall with a time of 18:30.20. Other top runner in the women’s division were junior Kristen Ruckstuhl in 24th place, sophomore Dana Jeter in 41st, junior Erica Bauerbach in 43rd and sophomore Lydia Greene finishing in 47th place.

The men’s team also made a strong showing, winning fifth place out of 27 teams at the meet. Senior David Dixon finished with the team’s fastest time, ending in 12th place with a time of 25:28.00. Two other runners finished in the top fifty, sophomore Timothy Travitz in 27th place and senior Wyatt Hoch in 34th place.

The team’s reserve squad competed in the Behrend Invitational with the women’s team finishing in eighth place and the men’s team doing well with a fifth place finish out of 14 teams.
