Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be coming to campus this Saturday, Oct. 4. Wozniak, who helped design the first line of Apple products, will be talking to students at 10:45 a.m. in the Kelvin & Eleanor Smith Foundation Ballroom in the Tinkham Veale University Center.

The event, called “Creativity and Innovation: A Live Q&A with Steve Wozniak,” is sponsored by Blackstone LaunchPad, the Case School of Engineering, think[box], the Case Western Reserve Career Center, the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, and the Case Western Reserve Hacker Society.

Wozniak co-founded Apple Computers with Steve Jobs in 1976. He then helped to design the Apple I and II, the company’s first two personal computers.

Wozniak left Apple in 1987, and has since worked on a number of other technology companies, including CL 9, which developed the first programmable universal remote control. He also founded Wheels of Zeus, a company which worked to develop wireless GPS technology, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, an organization which gives legal help to computer hackers facing criminal prosecution.

Tickets for the event become available tonight (Monday) at 10 p.m. Tickets are free, but spots are limited.
