Prepare for Halloween with fun festivities

Pizza, Pies & Alpha Chis
When: Oct. 26, 5 – 8 p.m.
Where: Alpha Chi Omega, ZY at Case Western Reserve University
Join Alpha Chi Omega to support the Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center in Cleveland by consuming an unlimited amount of pizza and pie. Other activities will include music, lawn games, a photo booth and raffle prizes. Tickets are $8 before the event and $10 at the door and include two free raffle tickets. All proceeds support the center.
Silent Disco: Marvel vs. DC
When: Oct. 26, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Where: Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland (MOCA)
Venture to MOCA for their annual Halloween silent disco and show off your love for Marvel or DC with a creative costume. Prizes will be given out for best costume, best superhero and best supervillain. Purchase tickets online for $20.
Silent Disco: Halloween Edition at B-Side
When: Oct. 27, 9 p.m.
Where: B Side Liquor Lounge
At this silent disco in Coventry Village, choose from three different channels featuring popular Cleveland DJs and a wide variety on genres including hip hop, indie rock, EDM and classics from the last three decades. A costume contest will also take place with the grand prize of VIP tickets to the Grog Shop for a year.
Jolly Comedy Hour
When: Oct. 27, 9 p.m.
Where: The Jolly Scholar
Come to The Jolly Scholar this weekend to enjoy comedy by CWRU fourth-year student Vishnu Akella with special guests Jimmie Graham and Marcello Hernandez. Akella performs in the Cleveland area regularly and opened for the University Program Board’s Late Night with Hasan Minhaj at Severance Hall last school year.
Upperclassmen Movie Night
When: Oct. 27, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Where: DiSanto Field
A screening of “Scary Movie” will play at the football field behind the Village at 115 for upperclassmen students. Nonalcoholic drinks will be served. Bring a blanket and your friends and wind down with this classic comedy.
Fourth Annual Halloween Flea Market and Art Fair
When: Oct. 28, 12 – 6 p.m.
Where: Now That’s Class and The Winchester
For the fourth year in a row, The Black Market, Buckland Museum of Witchcraft & Magick and Dark Art & Craft present a Halloween-themed flea market at Now That’s Class and an art fair at The Winchester. This event is the perfect chance to search for creepy oddities, peruse art inspired by local horror and discover macabre artists. A dollar for admission grants you entry to both venues and drink specials will be available for those over 21.
