What: CIA Student Holiday Sale
Where: Cleveland Institute of Art
When: Friday 6-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Need a headstart on getting gifts before the holiday season? Are you itching for some room decor (hot take: empty alcohol bottles are not decor)? The Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) has original work for sale this weekend. Art includes glass, metals, ceramics, photography and more. Proceeds go to CIA students.
What: “King Stag”
Where: Eldred Theater
When: Friday and Saturday 7:30 p.m., Sunday 3 p.m.
Missed opening night of “King Stag” last weekend? Come this weekend instead, as the play about “an evil minister plots to overthrow the king and steal his bride” comes to life with the Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Theater.
What: Fall MaDaCol Concert
Where: Mather Dance Center
When: Friday 8-9 p.m., Saturday 7-8 p.m. and 8:30-9:30 p.m.
Join CWRU’s Department of Dance at their fall MaDaCol concert this weekend, featuring more than 50 students, including second-year graduate students Christian Mintah and Katie Nabors and 2016 MFA alum Richard Oaxaca.

What: Glow: Holiday Hollows

When: Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday 12-6 p.m.
Looking for an excuse to break out your holiday spirit? Come to Glow’s opening weekend, featuring mouth-watering gingerbread houses, glowing Christmas trees, holiday crafts and a ride on the Garden Express train. Can’t make it this weekend? Not to worry, the event lasts into the new year, open Tuesdays through Sundays at various hours.
What: CLUB URBAN
Where: The Spot
When: 2-5 p.m.
Join Urban Elementz for their largest event of the year, featuring Salsa and Tappers as well. Not a fan of choreographed dance? The event includes freeze dance, limbo, hula hoops and Twister. Just trying to grab some food during the off-period in which Leutner is closed? CLUB URBAN will have catered food from Mitchell’s, Pacific East, Jimmy John’s and Jolly Scholar as well.
What: Andaaz x Naach di Jolly
Where: Cleveland Museum of Natural History
When: 7-10 p.m.
Join the undergraduate Indian Student Association and Naach di Cleveland at CWRU’s largest cultural show, featuring Kismat, CobRAAS, Nritya, Dhamakapella and Spartan Bhangra. Have plans at KSL all night? Take a break at their Bollywood dance afterparty at the Jolly Scholar until 2 a.m. instead.
