Friday, Oct. 7:
Club Urban: 5-8 p.m. at Leutner Pavilion. Featuring dance performances and open workshops from Case Western Reserve University’s dance groups such as Spartan Dance Team, Salsa Dance Club, Ballroom Dance Society, Nritya Dance Team, Swing Dance Club, and Urban Elementz. There will be free Barrio, Jimmy John’s and Mitchell’s Ice Cream.
Greek Shabbat: 6-9 p.m. at Cleveland Hillel. A night of community service and (Greek) food with those in CWRU’s Greek Life Community.
UPBeats: Acoustic Rock: 8-11 p.m. at The Jolly Scholar. Luca DiMartino at 8 p.m. with co-headliner: Mat Kerekes of Citizen at 9 p.m., Vinnie Caruana of I Am the Avalanche at 10 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 8:
CWRU Homecoming Kickoff: 1-4 p.m. at Freiberger Field. Organized by the Class Officer Collective, the event will have different free food featured every hour, outdoor games and the Freshmore pushball game and the Upperclassmen flag football game. There will also be the announcement of this year’s 2016 Homecoming Court.
TASA Tea Eggs and Noodles: 5-7 p.m. at House 5 put on by CWRU Taiwanese American Student Association.
Tinkerball: 7-10 p.m. at Tinkham Veale University Center. CWRU’s Homecoming Dance. Lucas Hii will be playing your favorite tunes and there will be an aerialist, a juggler, a magician and stilt walkers. Hor d’oeuvres will be served and dress code is semi-formal. Tickets are available online at tickets.case.edu and free to undergraduates.
Sunday, Oct. 9:
Draw Together: A Big Draw Event: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at The Cleveland Museum of Art. Learn alongside artists, watch artists create their notable works and draw something to take home. Event is free and no reservation is required.
Punk Rock Flea Market Lorain Halloween Extravaganza: 12-6 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church (1140 W River Rd. N, Elyria, OH). Vendors will be selling clothing, vintage, comics, collectibles, skater gear, bath and body, candles, toys, crafts and oddities. There will also be food trucks, raffles and music.
