What to do this weekend
Friday, Sept. 16:
Elyria Apple Festival: Friday Noon-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. in downtown Elyria. Plenty of great food and wares to sample, entertainment, corn hole, Princess Pageant, art and apple pie eating contest.
EID Celebration: 12:45-2 p.m. in the Thwing Center Atrium A celebration of Eid with food during community hour.
6th Annual Crocker Park Wine Festival: Friday 4-10 p.m., Saturday 2-10 p.m. at Crocker Park. A benefit for health, wellness and military support organizations in Northeast Ohio, the Crocker Park Wine Festival is held along South Main Street of Westlake, Ohio and will feature over 150 wines from local, national and international producers and craft beers and spirits. There will also be musical entertainment, exhibitors, artists and food.
Saturday, Sept. 17:
Alpha Phi’s Carnival of Hearts: Noon-3 p.m. at the Alpha Phi house. This event includes food, prizes, a bouncy house and a dunk tank competition.
Bubbles Because!: 1-4 p.m. at Heinen’s Downtown Cleveland. Sample our favorite bubbles from Spain and Latin America. Four unique varieties will be tasted.
Farm Harvest Festival: 1-6 p.m. at Squire Valleevue Farm (the University Farm). Buses depart from the Thwing Center from 12:30-4:30 p.m. approximately every 30 minutes. Activities include hayrides, petting animals, beeswax lip balm making, a cornhole tournament, knitting, yoga, judo lessons, herb planting, farm tour guided hikes, volleyball tournament, sustainable research showcase, tall grass maze, student performances, music and eating sustainably sourced food.
Tri Sigma’s Glow to Grow: 7 p.m. at Tinkham Veale University Center Ballroom. Food, games, music, dance, raffle and arts & crafts.
Sunday, Sept. 18:
Waffle Truck Brunch: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Rising at Star Coffee Hingetown on West 29th Street. Bringing breakfast—waffles and more—to our curbside in Hingetown. You can take it to go or dine in.
Cleveland Tour and Ice Cream with Global Cleveland: 1-4 p.m. $20 includes the city tour, pick-up/drop-off at Bellflower Road and delicious ice cream in Ohio City. Global Cleveland will be there to welcome everyone! Â Tickets for sale in Tomlinson 143.
