Matt Hooke, Executive Editor
Matt Hooke, The Observer’s executive editor, is a fourth-year student studying English. This is his first year as executive editor after spending time as arts and entertainment editor and development editor. Matt worked with the WKYC investigative team last spring, and worked on producing video and audio content for WKSU Exploradio Origins over the summer. When he worked for Maryland newspaper the Montgomery County Sentinel, his reporting broke the Sentinel’s views record twice and won tri-state awards for feature writing, arts and entertainment reporting and investigative reporting. He writes a column “Jazzmatazz” for the All About Jazz website. When not at The Observer, Matt can be found playing guitar or bass, cooking, interviewing people on WRUW and developing a taste for free form jazz. He does all of this because he is a modern guy with a lust for life. If you have story ideas or just want to share useless Steely Dan trivia email him at mgh57@case.edu.
